The National Credit Union Administration is the agency that regulates Federally-chartered credit unions like Olean Area FCU. It controls the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, which insures your Credit Union accounts in the same way the FDIC covers accounts in banks. You can visit this site to find out how much coverage is afforded by the NCUSIF for your own accounts.

Verified by VISA (VbV), a 3-D secure authentication program, is being replaced by risk-based authentication. What this means for you – you no longer need to enroll in VbV, and you will not be prompted to input an additional password when shopping online. When you shop at participating merchants, the 3-D secure runs a risk model that scores the transaction and gives the merchant a pass/fail, as to whether it is the cardholder. You do not need to do anything; this is an automatic service. Should your transaction be declined when it is in fact you, please contact the credit union.
By clicking on any of the links listed above, you will leave the Credit Union’s web site and go to an alternate web site not operated by the Credit Union. The Credit Union is not responsible for the content of the alternate web site and does not represent either the third party or the member if the two enter into a transaction. Privacy and security policies may differ from those practiced by the Credit Union.
